Lord Ganesh Lord Ganesha is the presiding deity of the Temple. Ganapati or Vinayaka, is one of the best-known and one of the most worshiped deities in the Hindu pantheon. His image is found universally. Ganesha is Vighneshvara or Vighnaraja or Vighnaharta the Lord of Obstacles, both of a material and spiritual order. He is popularly worshipped as a remover of obstacles. It is strongly believed that Siddhi Vinayak takes away all the obstacles and blesses the devotees with success and prosperity. Lord Venkateswara or Shri Balaji Shri Balaji shrine is one of the three main shrines of Hindu Temple of Jacksonville. Lord Venkateswara, popularly known as Balaji is one of the forms of Vishnu. The most famous Balaji Temple is located on the seven Hills, known as Tirumala and Tirupathi in Southern part of India. The Tirupathi Temple is said to be one of the richest Temples in the world. Shri Durga Durga meaning “the invincible is the principal form of the Goddess, also known as Devi, Shakti Maa, Ambe Maa and Durga the mahashakti, Shri Durga is said to be the form and formless, is the root cause of creation, preservation and annihilation. In the Temple one can see Shree Durga sitting on Lion, Lion is the vehicle of Shri Durga. Mother Goddess is universally worshipped, as one of the forms of the Supreme Being. |
Lakshmi Narayana Lakshmi Narayana is one of the beautiful shrines inside the Hindu Temple of Jacksonville. Lord Vishnu is also known as Narayana (all pervasive). Lord Narayana with Goddess Lakshmi (giver of wealth) were consecrated together. Followers worship Lakshmi Narayana as one of the forms of the one Almighty. |
Shri Ram Parivar or Ram Darbar Shri Rama with his consort Sita and his brother Lakshmana, and his servant Shri Hanuman is one of the very popular form of worship in Hindu Practices. Shri Rama is the hero of the famous epic Ramayana. Rama is said to be the seventh incarnation of Vishnu. The Ramayana (Rama’s story) is said to be victory of the good, over the evil.
