Pt Balaji Ranganathan
Pt Balaji has been described as “kind and courteous” and well versed in all aspects of temple activities and well trained in Pancharatra agama (Pancharatra or Pāñcarātra refer to Vaishnava Sanskrit Agamic texts ) . Pt. Balaji had been devoting Archaga Kainkaryam for Various special festivals like Pavithrosthavam, Bromostavam, Kalyana ustavam at Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple, Thillaistanam located in Thanjavur District, Tamil Nadu since 2006.
Pt Balaji worked as a Hindu Priest at Pittsburgh’s Sri Venkateswara Temple from December 2012 through June 2015, before returning to India. He had been working as Head Priest at Sri Venugopalaa Swamy Seva Trust, Virudhunagar District, Tamil Nadu.
Srinathji was born in India in the city of Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh, where his father, grandfather and great grandfathers were Hindu priests.
Pt Balaji is trained in conducting special ‘utsavams’ (congressional special festival celebrations) Alankarams (dressing up the idols), ‘Tirumanjana Kattiyam’ (Abhishek services), Havans and Arati.
